Bought these to hang standard C9s from gutters and keep them straight. When I installed it, I should have known there would be a problem. The clip holding the bulb barely held the bulb in place. After doing 2 levels of my house (200 lights/clips total) my wife went to move the power cord around the pole and 86/100 lights went out. almost the whole strand popped out like dominoes! For now I have reattached each bulb but attached 1 clip every 5ft to hold the wire. So hopefully if they fall off I don't have to reattach more than 5 feet at a time. The only reason for 2 stars (instead of 1) is that the clips hold onto the gutter very well and if you just hang your lights from a wire they will surely fit you. There are better ways to hang the C9.
