Review on Advanced Dual Heating System Nightstand Design - Dr Infrared Heater DR999: 1500W, Furniture-Grade Cabinet, Remote Control by Barber Miller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great heaters, mud removed, nice closets, wheels

I have two of these heaters and they work great in bedrooms with slightly undersized (my fault) electric baseboard heaters. I have a house with large baseboard heaters that were taking up too much wall space. I was planning on installing a heat pump to supplement and replace a coal/wood stove that I didn't want to deal with. When tested with baseboard heaters in bedrooms, 5-foot Kadett baseboards struggle to get past 68 when going below 32. These heaters from Dr Money and Aid for rooms that probably needed 8ft baseboards. I would say they would easily outperform wall cadet fan models. Thought they taste the air and turn on and off throughout the night no smell will buy my 3rd. The remote control isn't great, terrible range and you have to press the temperature buttons too many times but I usually just turn the knob and forget, can't say I've ever had a forced gas register or these forced off heaters can't. You can't heat an entire house, but if your bedroom electrics can handle 1500 watts, they're excellent. Using a heater in the basement and underground is not a good test for these heaters, the floor effect, especially the concrete floor, will cause any portable heater to struggle. , in my basement they can raise the temperature but work all night to get up to 68. If I were to use this space as a permanent location I would pick a wood stove, for what they are and what they use, 250 watts more than a 5ft electric baseboard heater, they produce significantly more heat, I would against them put an 8 foot baseboard heater and bet 1 will beat the 10 foot baseboard heater i have below the level they are so good they are by far the best portable heater i have ever used by oil filled ones to press Deloghinis, which I thought was pretty good.
