Wow! It looks so great in my car. A friend said it looked better than the original and was completely custom made. No, it cannot be installed. However, I believe there is a need to achieve that wonderful fit that will NEVER, EVER come together! I used a hard piece of plastic as a shoehorn to press the last piece into place. I recommend starting at the top and ALIGNING PERFECTLY BEFORE YOU START, then continue to stretch, pull and then wrap the handlebars until you use the "shoehorn" at the bottom. You will not regret it. I just love it.
