We've owned these long enough my son will soon outgrow them so it's probably time to write a review. First we bought an X-Small for my son just before he turned 4. His height is in the 99th percentile and his weight is around 75, so he's tall for his age. X-Small suited him well. Now that he's just turned 5, they still fit, but quite snugly. So I went back to order the little ones. He uses them for football and soccer and never said they were uncomfortable. Before a game we forgot to ask him to put them on and he was in his regular underwear so I told him he could skip it. He insisted on getting her and the protective cup and swapping them out. So obviously he thinks they're useful. He doesn't have to fiddle/adjust it, which I appreciate because I hate being that mom who always whispers over the top, "STOP picking at your underwear!" They've survived the wash very well - they actually look still pretty new looking even though we washed them in hot water with bleach. Happy with the quality.
