I have definitely purchased each item included in this set separately at some point in the past. and each of them costs the same as this set. You get a lot for what you pay for. The ring shaped LED light which is USB powered (rather than a couple of batteries which could also turn it off) has 3 different light temperatures with different brightness settings. Oh, is there more? Aha! A flexible phone arm with a built-in tripod screw, a Bluetooth trigger (a pleasant surprise for sure), a convertible mount that can hold a tablet or 2 phones for easier monitoring or recording from different angles, a tripod, and a carrying case for all. but the ring light! Okay, the last part wasn't that exciting, but it was real. You get a lot of bang for your buck here. The quality of all the elements included is more than adequate, and the tripod screws (really something that can make or break an experience) are the best. You'll certainly want to put the poop in a sandbag anyway, although as with any tripod, there is a risk of falling.
