when I received this item. The blade was stiff and did not spin freely. Revane sent me another one and this blade wasn't any better, so I figured I'd have to break it. Eventually the blade broke. It hasn't even been a year since it's up and running. If you look at the black plastic bearing seal around the gear, it says CHINA in small print. So whoever makes them uses a legitimate Vitamix blade according to the ID number written on the blade and somehow assembles it with cheap bearings made in China. I got totally ripped off don't waste your money for $69. Go to ebay and get a $10 blade that lasts less than a year. Vitamix doesn't conveniently sell blades. You need to buy another container to get the blade. Don't let the high price fool you into believing it's a legitimate Vitamix blade like I did. Shame on Revain and Vitamix for allowing their fraudulent sale.
