Review on AirLift 59570 Ride Control System by Peter Montoya

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The journey got worse every day as I started loading the tools into the.

I drive an F150 as a work truck hauling the same load every day and was having trouble squatting. The trip got worse every day as I started loading the tools onto it. I don't think 150 class trucks are designed to carry a lot of weight all the time. I installed them over the weekend and after driving the same truck the difference is the same as in daylight. I installed a HD air compressor, also with a wireless remote control and actuator set at 50psi. If I install a hanging mount, I increase it to 80psi. Installing the air kit took about 1.5 hours, the wiring harness and compressor took the most time and doubling the lift kit took 3 hours. I dropped the spare and installed the compressor over the spare, as did the other reviewer. I felt this was the best place. I have a small communication problem when the remote is in the cockpit but this is fixed by moving the remote closer to the solenoids and it works fine. I connected the air kit directly to the battery using the fuse that came with it. It will work without starting the truck, but I didn't want to break the fuse box and the problems it would cause. This pneumatic lift kit made the truck a real treat. ride again! Leaf springs are progressive and affect the smooth running of the truck under load. Auxiliary springs do the same. I had "helper springs" and my last truck was a heavily loaded F250 and the ride was terrible. It's a pity that I didn't know about the pneumatic lift back then. I highly recommend this kit if your truck will be carrying weight for any length of time.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • The list will go on.
