This was necessary as the suspension I got from Crutchfield was not the right one! Please note if you are replacing the radio in a 2014 Camry, there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between the 2014 and 2014.5 models! 2014 uses the PAC CAMTY11 suspension as rear cameras were not standard in early 2014. What is different on the 2014.5 is that the rear cameras were standard so the wiring harnesses are different! That being said, the PAC CAMTY12 is just what I needed for my 2014.5, but Crutchfield was out of stock. They said they could ship it for free when it arrived but I chose to get it from Revain as it was in stock! Worked great. Incidentally, Crutchfield reimbursed the cost of the incorrect lanyard.
