I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.
I have been using tangle teezer combs for a year now, I decided to take the comb home. I carry a small version with me. Very soft, unlike cheaper copies, it does not tear hair and you can easily comb wet hair or distribute a mask with it. REMEMBER, wet (not wet) hair can be combed ONLY after applying indelible products to them in order to detangle them. (spray, oil, fluid)
