I lead a very active scouting force. I've spent AT LEAST one weekend a month camping in various tents for the past 18 months, even in heavy rain and snow. The first impression I got upon purchase was that this tent is MUCH more orange than I expected. Without hesitation I would say that the tent is "Hunter Safety Orange". I was expecting yellow as it appeared in the photos posted. Although on further reading it shows the color orange. When you unfold the tent, the material is hard and light. The tent was very easy to set up alone. Shelves almost opened by themselves! I'm concerned about the durability of the cables inside, they MIGHT be too tight. The tent body looks good except for one spot where it was not sewn to the door properly. (Image) This area does not appear to affect functionality, however time will tell. The floor is thin and slippery compared to the parquet I laid it on. It DEFINITELY needs an adequate area for protection. The rain cover offers sufficient protection and is easy to assemble. This design is similar to another tent I have. I assume it will hold up well in the wind. In addition, a 2-layer construction is expected to offer better insulation compared to a single-wall tent with a weaker screen. The interior has room for a standard sized floor pillow with some headroom. There are interior pockets as well as a top hook, but plan on storing most of your gear in the lobby. Sit up from your natural lying position. There is no peg bag, which I am used to from other tents.
