Review on πŸŒ€ iSpring WSP50GR Sediment Filter with 360Β° Head - Reusable by Jathan Louis

Looks nice, but that's all. Lots of design issues. Beware.

We bought this to replace an old Rusco Sediment Stopper that we use on our washing machine. We like fittings that LOOK like standard American hose fittings but aren't. Luckily, the existing brass fittings we already had were added to connect our washing machine's inlet and outlet hoses. There are at least three major design flaws. claw like gray metal mtg. A bracket is included, but cannot be used to mount this pre-filter! WHAT? As if it were for a different product. 100% useless! Why supply a bracket that cannot be used to install this filter? SMDH. Second edition. The damn pressure gauge is in megapascals which is not used to measure pressure in the US, Canada or Mexico. You can see "MPA" in Fig. Sensor. Useless to everyone in the US. To get a PSI value you need to multiply the fractional MPa value by 145 to get the actual PSI value. Example: 0.25 x 145 = 36 PSI. Insanity. My head is ready to explode. Why does mfgr supply us with Chinese pressure gauges for customers in the USA? Why? Why? Why? Finally, there are a few comments about this device not working very well. Cloggs up quickly. Requires daily care. We're not quite there yet, but if it can't handle our Maytag, who hasn't had to clean the last screen in months, then it'll be back.

Pros
  • Durable materials. The filter cartridge and steel mesh housing can be cleaned simply by twisting the scraper, saving time and effort on routine maintenance.
Cons
  • I am writing back
