Vertical installation is much easier to use with this design.

This type has a great design, so we can install it vertically, which means no need to create a square loop. Less work means fewer mistakes! However, I'm a little confused at first that I can't wash out the residue as you can see in the photo I took. After two weeks I began to understand what is called a backwash and why it is called a backwash. - flushing. We must close the main inlet valve to prevent water from entering the filter, and then open the filter flush valve, the remaining water in…

DO NOT buy this filter, it has a design flaw!

I returned the first filter after a failed installation due to a defective product. The housing must be designed so that the inlet/outlet openings can be oriented vertically or horizontally. Unfortunately, the connection between the case and the input/output ports has a design flaw and the connection is loose. I contacted the seller and provided a video demonstrating the problem and they sent a replacement filter and a return label for the first filter. Unfortunately, the second filter had the…

Well made, designed, but small. But only a pre-filter.

Love it, but smaller and filters out 50 micron debris (a little thinner than a sheet of paper). I was hoping it would filter out the red mud (see next filter photo) but the 25 micron filter catches almost all sediment. The third filter is 5 microns and picks up almost nothing. Notice how red the white element turned red in the second filter after only about 100 gallons. I just bought a house on a hill 325 feet above the river and a few miles from the Mississippi River (Northwest Illinois) and…

Works well and catches big nasties

First of all I am currently using city water and you would think the water is clean with no build up but unfortunately that is not true, I have had it for now Installed almost two months ago and I wash it weekly and I always get a bit of dirt out. This filter is easy to install, leak free and the sensor is accurate. The build quality is excellent! Remember that a 20 inch sediment filter will prevent this, but having it in front of the big three filters will simply extend the life of those…

Why do you need this WSP50GR instead of WSP50

This WSP50PR has a beautiful design. I am very happy and grateful that Ispring makes this version of the water filter. This type of filter needs to be in a vertical position to work, and the plumbing in my house is vertical. So when I use a WSP50 the filter is in a horizontal position. For this reason, the WSP50PR is a very good option. The second feature of this WSP50PR is the scraper. There are two types of sediment in my lines: coarse, like red sand, and fine, like red powder. Coarse…

Looks nice, but that's all. Lots of design issues. Beware.

We bought this to replace an old Rusco Sediment Stopper that we use on our washing machine. We like fittings that LOOK like standard American hose fittings but aren't. Luckily, the existing brass fittings we already had were added to connect our washing machine's inlet and outlet hoses. There are at least three major design flaws. claw like gray metal mtg. A bracket is included, but cannot be used to mount this pre-filter! WHAT? As if it were for a different product. 100% useless! Why supply a…

  • Durable materials. The filter cartridge and steel mesh housing can be cleaned simply by twisting the scraper, saving time and effort on routine maintenance.

Look elsewhere when you are at fountain

So this product was a bit overused and not efficient enough. I do not recommend this if you are in a downhole system. I used it for about 6 months before taking it out and replacing it with a 1 inch Rusco with a sediment trap. I get enough sediment to keep this feather block clogged for days. About once a week you could feel a drop in pressure and I would go underground and rotate the case and flush it out. The situation will improve for a few days and come back. My well filter setup consists…

iSpring WSP50GR Installation Experience

iSpring WSP50GRI received the item for my home plumbing system renovation project quickly and checked upon opening, just to be safe with all the elements in place i was concerned about the weight of the element the filter is well made but heavy so if you are planning on installing this element I would recommend making some sort of mount for this filter for future installers to make the installation better long term and more durable.I ended up using racks to protect my lines and where this…
