I had to buy the whole box I just needed the internal assembly. When I received it, the timer was running almost 10 times faster than it should. I couldn't return the device and ended up buying the timer for another $20. So I really paid too much. Well that's fixed and it's over. The timer is cheap, I'm sure there is no quality control.

Faulty Timer Motor in my Irrigation Control Box. Unfortunately I could not find an exact match for voltage, gear, direction of rotation and output gear. This engine looked close so I took a chance. After disassembling it, replacing some gears, output shaft and gear and reassembling it, I installed it. The controller shows the time again so I can program the start day and time again.

At first this was a super simple fix to a faulty timer clock motor, then after a few months it got so loud I could hear it through my bedroom wall. It was so annoying that my wife asked me to do something because it disturbed her sleep. I even tried spraying some Teflon grease on the inside, it wouldn't stop beeping loudly so I switch the whole timer to digital. No more noise!

My pool pump timer went off and I figured changing the clock would fix the unit. It turned out that the real problem was the failure of the mechanism that turns the device on. he became too stiff to stumble easily. Installing a new clock only revealed the problem. The clock continues to run but is destroyed because the movement of the clock's gears continues and the movement cannot continue turning and the plastic gears fail.

I ordered this timer motor to convert my existing 208-240 VAC Intermatic electromechanical timer to run on 110-125 VAC. It was an exact match. There are only 2 small torx screws that attach the motor to the timer mechanism. When changing the engine, I sprayed all the gears with Teflon spray grease. The new motor runs very well on the timer and appears to be keeping up with the times after a week of use.

Looks like a real Intermatic. Replaces WG1570-4D. The first engine worked slowly. 2. Engine is running. The original only lasted 3 years. They used to last more than 15 years. Now it is very difficult to buy high-quality ones. Intermatic has always been "standard”. Anything that has a winding today is garbage. Imported car alternators only last 3 years. I bought a pair of these motors to replace two in a pool cleaner/pump control box that had the gears disassembled - probably due to age, weathering and Lack of grease on the main axis of the timer wheel. I installed both motors - and lubricated the hard axles. There are no installation problems. After 24 hours, some clocks were about an hour behind, while others were about correct.
