Look elsewhere when you are at fountain

So this product was a bit overused and not efficient enough. I do not recommend this if you are in a downhole system. I used it for about 6 months before taking it out and replacing it with a 1 inch Rusco with a sediment trap. I get enough sediment to keep this feather block clogged for days. About once a week you could feel a drop in pressure and I would go underground and rotate the case and flush it out. The situation will improve for a few days and come back. My well filter setup consists of the following: Spring down rotation -> 20" 5 micron sediment -> 20" 25 micron GAC -> UV filter. I would see a 15psi pressure drop when the spring was clean and 30psi when the spring needed cleaning. Now I only see a 5 psi pressure drop across the system. So, based on my non-scientific experience, the spring causes a pressure drop of 10psi more than the Rusco. I think this pressure drop is due to the extra jets in the block cleaning the screen. Even if the source accumulates sediment, it has nowhere to go (until you flush it out). Sump slinging gives the sediment a place to land without blocking the filter mesh. So, I'm not trying to get you to believe in Rusco, but I think if you're at a well and have additional filters in the system, it will serve you much better. I would not recommend this Ispring block if you are on a well with sediment.

Pros
  • . Flushable and reusable. Relieve the subsequent finer filters significantly; Helps create a multi-layer gradient filter system to improve filter results and extend filter life
Cons
  • weak
