A few years ago I had a PetSafe booster seat for my dog (a 15 pound Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix) but the Florida sun has loosened the straps over time so I have one Bought a new road trip. My dog just wants to nap in the car and look out the window. He feels comfortable in this car seat and sits down quickly because he can see out the window, which he cannot do without a booster seat. When he gets tired, he curls up in the seat to take a nap. During our drive, I secured his seat in the passenger seat as usual, and he had just dozed off when we got into a high-speed collision. Thank goodness he was in the booster! The booster remained attached to the seat back, although slightly torn, but this prevented it from being flung around the car and injured. And when he's in the booster, the passenger's side airbags don't deploy, so he was safe. Aside from the fear, of course the vet said my pup is fine! I'm so glad I had this to protect him.
