If you hear your family members constantly yelling "Internet is down" from different parts of the house, you'll love this router. in the middle of a movie or an important Zoom call at work. That was not always so. If you search the forums you will see that about 6-12 months ago firmware updates started making the device unstable and there were many complaints like mine. Unfortunately, you need to install firmware updates because the alternative has been hacked due to security holes in the old firmware. This router was great for about 22 months after purchase (2018) and then became a nightmare. It got to the point where it became obvious that Netgear didn't feel anything was wrong, so they had nothing to fix. According to WireCutter, TP-Link currently makes great hardware. Don't waste your money on this Netgear junk. . They used to have solid products, but not anymore.
