You find yourself entering the age where your new favorite toy is a goddamn cupcake pod. It's really awesome. I love the fact that once you've baked a cake, you can take it with you anywhere, cut it up and serve it on the table from below. I also love that the handle doubles as closable airholes, so you can leave the airholes open or closed depending on what you've been doing. travels well There aren't any dimples or anything on the bottom to hold the cake in place, so it might not be perfect perfection for a rocky trip with an ice cream cake, but for pound cakes that can be handled a little more, it is a rock star. Not sure if this is just a great recipe but I now have a pancake tart that is 5 days old now and still moist and not too sticky from frosting or anything. The cake itself is holding up very well. Just make sure you snap all four hinges properly before flipping this thing open.
