Review on πŸ’Ύ Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Module CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 by Michael Radhakrishnan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The performance of my new build was so good that I ordered another 8 GB

This desktop memory meets the highest demands. It is used with the Core i7 4770 processor and the Z87 motherboard. For added security and protection I've added a Kingston fan which is sold for HyperX PC Memory KHX-FAN but fits and works great with these chips. To update. I'm a little late to post this, but I felt better late than never. I started with 8GB of RAM, went up to 16GB after a couple of weeks, and eventually added another 16GB after a couple of months. I use my system to edit and process videos. A total of 32 GB of RAM showed me a noticeable improvement. Some claim that any amount of RAM over 16GB is wasted or excessive. I have a different opinion on the performance. WARNING: I originally installed Windows 7 Home Premium when I created this system (Windows 7 is my preferred operating system). It wasn't until I scanned the system (when it was increased to 32GB) that I noticed it only showed 16GB. After investigating the issue, I found that I need to upgrade my operating system to Windows 7 Professional to be able to read and use the 32GB. You have to love Microsoft. However, the extra $100 for a Windows update was well worth it. My first big project, a 37 minute video, was a complete success. I'm no expert, but I credit using 32GB of this RAM for the ease, speed, and efficiency of making thousands of edits.
