Let me start by saying that I checked every item as soon as this set arrived. It is packaged so well that there were no cracks or chips on any of the parts. Even though so many different types of products advertise "high quality at an affordable price", they often look like they are NOT as good as more expensive items - this is NOT the case with this set! It's actually better than many sets I've seen that cost over $100 per seat. They are definitely lighter in color (relative to "white" china) than the more expensive sets I've found in stores and contain more items than I've seen in other sets. I chose a cream tablecloth and gold napkins for this set. gold without flaws. I don't see any missing spots or extra coverage - as far as I can see the lines are actually perfect. Care instructions are included in the box. It tells you what to avoid, how to keep your gold in the best condition possible, etc. My mother has her own very nice set but she told me she was jealous because it was better than hers and I was pretty. I'm sure mine was cheaper. Maybe I'll buy another model from the same company. I chose this one because it's very traditional and I plan to use it for holidays and other special occasions, but I may need a more modern pattern to use during our weekly dinner parties.
