Review on πŸƒ Ultimate Nathan TrailMix Running Vest/Hydration Pack: 12L Capacity, Unisex Design with 2L Bladder Included, Zipper Pocket by Jason Franco

Fits like a glove with hydration packs

The only thing I don't like about this hydration pack is the bladder. If you turn it off, it will be difficult to start the water flow. There was an airlock in the hose and I had to take the bottle out of my pocket and draw water back into the hose to keep the water flowing. At first I thought the hose was kinked, but then I realized there was no water in the hose. I even took the drinking nozzle out of the hose and still no water came out. This happens to me because I always turn off the nozzle when I'm not using the packaging. If the stream stays on, then no problem. I turn it off because my bladder was empty in transit due to another backpack being on the valve. A bummer when you come to a remote trail and don't have water to drink. I love the fit of this backpack, the presence of pockets and built-in attachment points. The front pockets are stretchy enough for a large smartphone without bouncing when you tuck in the elastic. I don't use water bottle pockets, but other reviewers have posted about it. I thought I wouldn't like the style of the rollover top loading bag, but it turned out to be easier to stuff things in than my old zippered Nathan. I had quite a heavy load and the backpack is still comfortable to carry. One complaint from other reviews is the two front straps that come loose while running. This was a problem for me until I threaded the ribbon through the plastic hook a second time. It stays put when you pull it out due to the pull tab on the strap. Another complaint was that the front straps ran across the chest, but the strap buckles had quite a bit of slack on the slides to compensate. I really like this backpack and hope it will last as many years as my old Nathan hydration pack, about 20 years.
