Review on Taotuo Portable Monitor Extender 13 3 16 Notebook 13.3" by William Black

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Bulky, clunky and loud

The best thing about Ofiyaa's screen is that I have come to appreciate my Duex Lite more. Pros: - The screen itself is crisp, clear and works well with a single Thunderbolt cable from my Macbook Pro M1. - It comes with a case and all the cables you may need for different laptops. Cons: Everything about this design is literally loud. From the Velcro on the case to the expansion/compression mechanism to attach it to a laptop, I'd be embarrassed using it in a quiet library or work place and disturbing people. The screen hinge is incredibly weak. Mine arrived literally torn. The screen does not lock even when closed. You can't carry it around with a laptop at all. This is not safe and the screen will freeze. It's bulky and heavy. It has a kickstand, not for "convenience" but because you need to use it. With the screen out of the way, the MacBook literally wasn't a counterweight enough, and the left side of my computer fell off the table. You cannot close your laptop when a display device is connected. - The kickstand is too difficult to use, with a wheel to toggle locked/unlocked state, and it still only moves in click increments. - The screen cannot be moved inward for a comfortable viewing position. The best thing it does is that it's slightly larger than it fits on your laptop screen. 3 stars for the functional screen and additional features. But overall it's an overpriced design mess. Happen.
