This so called sharpener has irrevocably damaged my knives - all the ones I've gone through. European knives received ugly, permanent half-inch scratches along the entire length of the blade. Asian knives had visible burrs on the edge. The best name for this device is KNIFE WRECKER. I have had Henckels knives for over 30 years. and now the ones i went through are forever damaged. Of course they came out sharper. and uglier, like f#$^% with deep scratches that will never go away. Even if you get this nightmare for free as a "gift". RUN! DO NOT use this item.
