My kids love their cribs. My two kids (3 and 4) each have one and they both love them and use them almost every weekend at our cabin. The bed itself is sturdy and easy to fold and store away. When my youngest was potty training she had an accident and I took the crib outside, cleaned the crib with soap and water, sprayed it and let it dry and had no problems. It has been cleaned very well and is like new. The sleeping bag is light. So when it's cold, we put an extra blanket in the sleeping bag to keep it warm. Personally, I can't speak of consolation, but in winter, when we don't go to the hut, the girls like to have "pajama parties" at the weekend and prefer to sleep on cots rather than on the couch. The 'pillow' built into the sleeping bags is a joke, so we have a couple of small pillows that compress enough to be rolled up with the cot so they're always with you. We liked them so much we bought them for my one year old niece too.
