Review on Purely Natural All-Season Quilt Batting: PLANTIONAL Cotton Batting For Quilts, Crafts, And Wearable Arts - 47" X 59" Light Weight by Charles Parente

I have been a quilter for over 35 years, have owned a quilt shop and am now a professional long-arm quilter.I ordered the 300 grm. weight. I wanted high loft that is soft. Opened the batting completely and let it breathe for 2-3 days. The loft came to 1/2 inch and the size increased from the order description (71x79)inch to 76x85 inches! Absolutely the most soft, light and beautiful batting I've ever come across in all my years except wool that doesn't have the loft. Because I am a long-arm quilter I put the batting on a frame and do not handle it much. Note: Hand quilters should handle gently - after basting your quilt bring the backing fabric over the edges of your quilt top and batting and lightly baste to cover and protect the edges of of your batting. Hand quilting is a longer process and your unfinished quilt + battingwill have a lot of handling. But it is well worth the extra attention. I have bought more, did I say the price is GREAT, and no, I do not work for this company :o)
