Mixed feelings about spray guns and accessories

While I can't say for sure, it appears to be identical to some mid-range Harbor Freight models. Like these, you absolutely cannot use this without taking it apart and cleaning it, which I did twice. After cleaning twice, the test run failed and it didn't spray at all. После того, как в третий раз разобрал его и убедился, что он избавился от всех хлопьев красной краски, он распылился нормально, но затем у меня была утечка воздуха, которую я подумал, что это было соединение, которое я сделал с регулятором, но это not so. The factory air intake, which appeared to be only partially sealed with some kind of sticky sealant on the underside of the gun, was leaking heavily. Removing and adding teflon tape was a quick fix. Another test spray and I thought I was done, but my first paint job was ruined in the third step because what appeared to be a piece of cast aluminum from inside the gun was jamming the needle and the paint just sloshed out of the air cap. ruins my paint. I kept the gun anyway because I think it will work fine after all the issues are resolved and it worked fine until the casting blocked it. I bought these specifically for the larger 1.8 air cap because the marine paints I have sprayed will not spray through 1.4 at all unless diluted much more than they are intended. I haven't sprayed it with gloss so can't say for sure how well it sprays paint (although it seems to be better than HF 47016 which has fewer air cap holes and uses a lot less air). The supplied regulator looks and performs exactly like my Iwata regulator, although how well it will hold up remains to be seen. For the price I don't expect perfection. If you want perfection, look elsewhere. If you take the time to give it a really good clean and teflon tape all the ports, this gun can get the job done for many purposes where you don't need perfection.

Pros
  • Lock-on air regulator with gauge
Cons
  • Hard to tell
