These LEDs were relatively easy to install on my 2001 Jetta TDI with no modifications. I rotated the LED on the driver's side by 180 degrees in its socket so that the "dark spot" of the low beam was centered on both sides. The high beam is not much brighter than the low beam; However, I find that the light output quality of LEDs, which compete with standard halogen bulbs, is sufficient to improve the low beam more than noticeably. The Allen key provided, which is required to install the lights, can slip off; I had to use my own allen wrenches to get the job done properly. I can recommend these LEDs without hesitation. Even if they need to be replaced sooner than I hope, the value for money easily beats the halogens. 6 months update: Both headlights started flickering, then blinking and finally the low beams went out completely. Communication with the seller was difficult due to translation issues; However, I finally managed to get them to send me a replacement, which still works fine.
