Does exactly what I want. Very easy to plug in and unplug, although I wouldn't try anything over 24 inches or so. It's difficult to align a 32-inch TV with this anchor point. My pieces were pressed together so tightly that it was quite difficult to separate them. I would recommend putting a paper towel on top and tapping it with a hammer to loosen it if this happens to you. I would recommend that the manufacturer release a version that includes some kind of kickstand. I got this so I can take the TV off the wall and go outside during football season, but I still have to screw the TV stand on every time.
