Excellent except for the battery compartment

I would give 5 stars but for one. I can't open the battery compartment and now I probably messed it up trying to open it. Otherwise it works great. I have 4 Luminara candles that I bought last year. It works on everyone and throughout the room - maybe 12 feet or more. I just want to get into the battery compartment. Must order another one before battery dies; hope it is better than this. A guide would be helpful; The diagram on the back of the device is too difficult to read.
