So now I use the same straight through guitar cable for all my guitars. I have several of these and leave them connected to the guitars I usually use with square guitar cable. I also always run my guitar cable through the guitar strap, so disconnecting it isn't a problem. I use it on both regular (passive) guitars and active guitars (with a 9 volt battery or better yet +9 volts fed back to the ring). I also like that it is very durable. I've had other brands that were thinner but over time they sagged and the internal connections broke. They are strong and hold up well.
