Mislabelled product. It is stated to make circles with a 16 inch radius, but the maximum radius is about 12 inches. Although it may seem wrong, the device creates an accurate circle; A rigid bar supports the sketch well. You can replace the dowel with a longer one from any hardware store, so it will work if you're willing to invest more, but will do it all by itself - unless you're making smaller circles, it may not be appropriate. Also, you can replace the #2 pencil with any writing utensil of similar width, e.g. B. a pen or a full pencil.
