It's not metal! This is nowhere near the quality of a KitchenAid whisk or dough hook.
This is hard plastic. Not metal. I used it once and with a light test. I'm not impressed and would have preferred the plated metals that KitchenAid itself endorses. Should have read the description more carefully before buying.
