My vacuum cleaner is less than 6 months old. Light residential use. BUT he had a problem with electricity, he smoked and stopped working. I've tried going back to Revain but they don't accept returns after 100 days so I'm trying to get Hoover to honor the warranty. Too many problems even if they do. Revain had to fulfill his guarantee and work it out with Hoover. Bad grades for Revane and Hoover. But I should probably buy stuff like this from places like Costco or Sears, which will just give you a new one. It worked fine until it exploded. ------------------ ------------------------- - ------ ---------------- And that's not all. A few days later I received a reply from Hoover and was told I could take the vacuum to their local dealer for repairs. Oh great, I thought. BUT. The local authorized representative informed me that they needed to send the vacuum back to Hoover to ensure it was eligible for a "repair due to a manufacturing defect" and after inspecting the vacuum I would be told if the dealer could repair it. This process takes 4 weeks. I will have it sent back by an authorized agent and wait for a reply and see if it takes 4 weeks. I will keep you informed of this mysterious process. At least it should be good for a few laughs.
