I used this part on a 2004 BMW 320i (E46). This is a part that often fails on the E46 model. In this case you will get an oil level indicator on the dashboard. When checking with a dipstick (the E46 still had a dipstick), the oil level is/was within the permissible range. The low oil indicator continues to cause problems.
