Not at all quiet, but moves a lot of air.

I bought this fan to use on my desk to cool my surface pro which gets very hot. I left it on for less than 5 minutes before the "buzzing" noise started driving me crazy. I am returning it and will purchase an alternative product. It lets a lot of air through, so if noise doesn't bother you, it's a good buy.
