Better in every way! RFN-4s SMDV Wireless Remote Control

RFN-4s SMDV Wireless Remote Control I use mine on a Nikon D500: it works great! I love this remote control. I have made several thousand recordings with this remote control system. I shoot a lot of landscapes, nature, long telephoto lenses and long exposure night shots. One day mine suddenly stopped working. I replaced the "AAA cell" in the transmitter and everything was great again. Note: AA, AAA, Cs and D are "cells", not batteries. (See!) The maximum range I've used this system for is about 12 meters. (More below.) I would recommend this to anyone who has a Nikon with a Nikon DC0 mount on their camera body. (This is port DC0 (zero)). (More details below.) Enclosures do not have built-in receivers for IR remotes. (IR = Infrared) You must use a remote control cable, or for longer distances (separation) you must use an optional remote shutter release. (More details below.) Nikon remotes are great, but very expensive. (Comparison: Nikon ML-3 compact modular remote) (Nikon quality, yes!) (Nikon price, yes!: $258.00, street: $179.00) (Nikon's other wireless remotes are even more expensive!) (IR or Infrared only. Not RF or RF.) (Line of sight only. Doesn't work around corners unless you have a large mirror.) (2 channels only) (Range: 26 feet or 8 meters total.) (Fills "Shoe Flash" Nikon camera body) . In other words: SMDV (SMDV-USA) RFN-4 are better in every way! The RFN-4s receiver: * Uses power from the camera body. Very little power!*This feature makes the receiver very small. He doesn't interfere. * 16 channels, 2.4GHz. ("Receiver Settings" and "Transmitter" must be the same.) *Connect the Nikon DC0 (DC-Null) port (also called MC30). Nikon now refers to this connector as the "ten-pin remote connector". In my experience, do not intervene in the camera controls. RFN-4s Transmitter: * Uses one AAA cell. (Only standard Duracell or Energizer etc.) * 16 channels, 2.4 GHz. ("Sender" and "Receiver" settings must be the same.) * Bracelet. ___ This is a great feature. ___ Between shots, I just let go, then "flick my wrist" and the transmitter is back in my hand, ready to take the next shot. * Slide button cover prevents accidental operation and unintentional discharge of the AAA transmitter battery. RFN-4s Range: I've used mine up to 40 feet (roughly) with the transmitter in my hand, in my pocket, with zero errors. When it's cold, this is a great feature! You can even stand inside while controlling the camera outside, or vice versa. are far from the audience. The long range allows the camera to photograph animals (distant and without interference) or to get an unusual perspective with the camera mounted high overhead. This makes the "Paint Pole" camera mount very practical. Use your imagination. See ProPole in Revain: ProPole - Artist Pole Adapter - Camera Monopod. You can also place the camera in a dangerous place or where people are not allowed to stand. (Airplane launch, car racing, ship launch.) The range is said to be 320 feet (100 meters), but I haven't tested that or should have gone beyond 40 feet. Dear SMDV (SMDV-USA), Now that the New Model RFN-4s receiver has a flexible antenna, there is only one request I would like to make to SMDV (SMDV-USA): I would like you to provide a Make "extensionโ€ DC0 cable. , "at the other end "female". But if you do this, include jumper wires for all pins, not just the wires needed for your RFN-4s SMDV remote. Multiple lengths of 3 " (80 mm) up to 10 feet (120 inches or 3 meters) Thank you to SMDV (SMDV-USA) for providing a great product.
