These are fakes. I called WJ Goss Co in Ohio and spoke to the manager because the unit I received was defective. In particular, the shortcoming was that the clips would not penetrate the brackets with either moderate finger pressure or heavy pressure with a hammer, hammer and vise. As a carpenter, welder and mechanic, I concluded that these clasps and bracelets were all defective. When I shared these details with the WJ Goss Co manager during our phone call, she explained that these clips were fakes produced by a third party. Another sign that they weren't real is the coloring: WJ Goss Co stainless steel clips are dark brown with matte enamel and the fake ones I ordered were different ie not enameled or matte dark brown but nickel plated like the braces. I then bought a completely different type and brand at the local hardware store as the fake clamps and brackets were useless.
