REALLY GOOD PLA - my new review

All are great but the clear filament

I have tried a few of these and the solid colors make really nice prints with no artifacts. The clear filament however is extremely brittle and has broken off many times in the bowden tube or just in the gap from the spool to my extruder. The few prints I got to work were good though!

  • The pla it's self actually looks a tad dull, but once it's printed comes the silk/shiny aspect of it.

  • The colors might not be as vibrant as advertised, making your creations look dull and unimpressive

Easy printing and surprisingly clear!

I really didn't expect anything spectacular for a clear PLA, but I was wrong. This stuff printed perfect the first time out. And depending on how you slice, it will have some great effects.I did a test print of a wall hook I make with a 30% infill and then went ahead and designed a star for the top of my Christmas tree. I wanted a snowflake look when it was illuminated, and kept the infill at 30%. I am very happy with my design and the results. Placing one of the bulbs inside lights it up just…

First foray into 3d printing - pleased so far

I'm just learning about 3D printing. Along with my printer I ordered this collection of PLA filament.I'm pleased with the performance of the Sunlu filaments. I have had some adhesion problems, but worked them out with various trials of tape and adhesive materials. I find that a skirt or brim are just not sufficient for good adhesion, so I use a raft for all of my prints (if you're into 3D printing at all, you'll recognize the terms).There is sufficient material on each spool to make several…

Awesome filament: my feedback

Sat opened on my 3d printer for months after printing a few things but then I got pulled away by other projects. Once I got back to 3D printing this just worked. No drying out or any breakages. I've used almost the whole role now with zero problems and great print qualities. I'm using a qidi max in case that's relevant.

Wonderful mistake! best in my review

This was used to print a snake hide based on a feature in a video game. I’d mistakenly used a smaller volume than needed and was forced to change colors mid print. Both of these colors are Sunlu filament and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. Looking at the picture of the support material, you can see they blend flawlessly, as though it all came from one spool. Works fine in my Ender 3 Pro

I'm new to the 3D printer thing, and this is my first purchase of material so I don't have a lot of experience. I bought this, put it in my new printer, and kept on printing things. I haven't had any more problems printing with this than I had printing with the small amount of material that came with my printer. If anything, it seems to stick a little easier than the stuff that came with my printer. The parts I've printed also seem a little stronger than the stuff that came with my printer, but

Surprisingly Good Filament

I'm still building my list of reliable PLA filaments and this one has definitely made the list. I usually was only using the Inland PLA+ which I found incredibly reliable, but it became difficult to find, so I decided to branch out, trusting to the reviews. SUNLU didn't disappoint and I'm on my 3rd reel.

Crap, buy a different brand

5 spools and none have made a good print. Starts off looking good but a few mm up it keeps clogging. Tried different prints, different Temps and speeds, different layer hieghts,retractions,nozzles,filament tubes. I am at the end of my rope with this brand

Worked OK, price was great

Have had no problems using this filament thus far but am experiencing some adhesion problems with other filaments and have not tried the troublesome makes with this filament. Reserving the five star for when I do.
