Not sure if this is a defect or just poor quality. I checked the instructions twice and the pedal simply screws into the handlebars with no screw on the other side. So when my son rides, the pedal unscrews and keeps falling off. He didn't use it for a while after we bought it as it was too big for him. So when we discovered the problem, the return period had already expired. And his (much stronger than me) dad tried to pull it up too but it still falls off. how he drives it. Maybe we have a defect? There are many positive reviews.
