Something I really like about this printer but something very problematic. I am writing this review having had this printer for less than a week and with several thousand pages under its belt. First, a few things I really like about this printer: 1. The print speed is acceptable. This is pretty fast compared to consumer inkjet printers. It's not the fastest printer, but it doesn't choke on pages of text. As expected, print speeds will be slower on graphics-heavy, high-coverage pages. The inks are affordable and offer acceptable print quality. Most of my prints contain a lot of text and the text is clear and easy to read.3. Multiple paper trays allow you to flexibly select the paper type. Things that are annoying but don't show any limiters: 1. This thing is loud. You won't want to keep it in your office.2. The printer used a ton of ink when refilling. More than half of each of the colored tanks and a third of the black. The good news is that there were two bottles of each color ink in the box. The maintenance box also shows half life before I've printed a page.3. I seem to have to turn the printer off and on again for the computer to find it every morning. I'm not sure if this is a problem with my network, but none of my other printers or devices have this problem. What doesn't suit me and might not make me recommend this printer: 1. Frequent paper jams, especially when the paper runs out or when the printer switches between paper trays. It's really frustrating.2. Large print jobs often cause problems. I often print a 260-page document (study material). It is double-sided, so 130 sheets of paper can be printed on both sides. I have not yet printed this document on this printer with no paper jam. The printer is recovering well and continues to print where it left off, but it has NEVER functioned without problems. I've used several brands of quality paper with exactly the same results. Jams usually occur when paper is low or when switching between paper trays, but not always. Overall I have mixed feelings. There are things I really like and things I don't like. I expected more in this price range. I'll update my review in a few weeks as things develop. Update - April 2021. I would give it a solid 3.5 stars, almost 4 after using it for a while. One of my big frustrations was not being able to print a tutorial (the most common large work I print) without it getting stuck at some point in the process. Basically I can now do this without any problems if I don't have to switch between the paper trays. Now I'm used to printing my manual one at a time, making sure the paper is on top. This has reduced my problems but is still very annoying. Also, I love the ink. The quality is satisfactory and my printing costs remain low, especially when compared to the print service providers I have used in the past. However, have spare ink and a spare maintenance box on hand if you plan to print large volumes.
