Review on High-quality Zebra DNA Luxfer L6X Aluminum CO2 Tanks with CGA320 Valve (5 LB, Brushed) - Effortless On/Off Operation by Andrew Camlin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thanks for this tank, full (CO2)

Great tank, fits into the kitchen environment (I mainly use it for sparkling water) without looking too industrial or taking up too much space. As a source of CO2 for carbonating liquids, a tank with a CGA320 on/off valve (included) can be connected to a regulator such as the Fizz-Gizz II Soda Rope (http://www.amazon.com/FiZZ-GiZ -II-Soda -Rope-Carbonation/dp/B00KAJA29K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1434988701&sr=8-2&keywords=fiz+giz). Get some Fizz Gizz caps (fits almost any PET soda bottle) and you're in business. Blows away SodaStream. With this combination (5 lb CO2 bottle and Fizz-Gizz II soda rope) one bottle of gas lasts me more than a year (carbonated about two 1 liter bottles a day). The industry standard for CO2 in sparkling water is 8 g/L. Do the math and SodaStream will quickly disappear from your "wish list." I think it costs $15 to refill enough SodaStream to carbonate 60 liters. One caveat: if you take this tank to refill, make it clear that you want to refill your own tank, otherwise you'll get a replacement tank (e.g. BBQ propane tanks) and your good new tank will be sent to the world of random replacement balloons. It's not bad. But if you want to keep your own tank, you should be careful when filling up. Typically, a 5 pound tank costs around $13. If your main goal is to carbonate liquids (remember, you can only carbonate water with the SodaStream), the tank and regulator combo is the way to go.
