I had no intention of saving money when I bought these filters, I was looking for the convenience of having 4 packs of filters. Today I used the first one and found that the fit is way smaller than I would like. The OEM filters fit snugly into the oil filter cap sleeve, but these parts are very loose. My understanding is that once the cap is tightened in the crankcase, the spring behind the filter puts pressure on the filter gasket and therefore "probably" seals the filter against the cap just enough to direct the oil where it needs to go , but the spring produces a different pressure. Problem. On the back of the filter, opposite the gasket, is a cavity that the spring rests against to align the filter with the crankcase during installation. On these filters, the cavity is so shallow compared to the OEM that the spring keeps falling out before you can put the cap on, allowing the spring to fall sideways behind the filter. If you do not understand that this happened and unscrew the lid, you are in for real trouble. I had to put the bike on the ground and install the spring in the crankcase first, then the filter. The filters also look like they were wrapped in cat hair before packing, so I'm guessing they ate their lunch while packing these things. I am throwing them away as the return period has expired. Do yourself a favor and buy OEM or K&N.
