I purchased this to use in removing paint splatter and it works like a charm! It's easy to grip, and it well balanced. I've been using it while getting house ready to sell, on several types of jobs. It is holding up very well, and the blades' longevity depends on the job you're doing. For snapping paint splatter off of a smooth surface, one blade lasted the whole job. When using to scrape away lime/calcium deposits, I went through about 5 blades.Tips:- When using on a varnished or other finished surfaces, don't press down too hard, to avoid damaging the surface of the work area.- Perhaps do a test run on a less visible area, before using large scale?- Also, when using on finished surfaces, it's best to use at a very acute angle (less than 27 degrees).Pros:- Easy to swap blades- Colors are easy to spot if you lose track of it- Multi-purpose tool- Gentler on surfaces than a razor- Hard plastic blade- Washable- Easier/safer to dispose of than metal blades.- Safer for (older) children to use.Cons:- Handle is small (perfect for me, but may be problematic for a man).- Can get slippery if using on oily surfaces or with adhesive removers. (I just washed hands and tool whenever this happened.)
