Update: I'm mad at this thing every day! This is the least intelligent smart product I own. Involved in EVERYTHING! From the short decorative carpet in the living room to the welcome carpet in front of the front door and guitar stands. Focused on everything. Plus, he doesn't even find his way home until the battery dies. For once, I'd love to see this DUMPLY "SMART Robot Vacuum Cleaner" do its job and get back to base without me having to find it with a dead battery or stuck to anything when I get home. Even after purchasing foam barriers to block the bottom of the sofa and other common household items, it still gets stuck and lost. My programmable robot toys from the 80's were smarter than this thing. waste of money! The vacuum cleaner seems to clean well, but I feel like I need to take my home to a whole new level of "kidproofing". Vacuum gets stuck in Rock Band guitar stands, gets stuck in certain spots trying to get under a sofa, gets lost under some furniture where it falls through, but gets lost and finds a way out despite there being no blockage. Apparently this is not compatible with any border strips that might help. Nor does it teach anything. When you tell him to go home he has absolutely no idea where it is and just wanders around until he finds it close enough, but often goes in the opposite direction for a while at first. It would be nice if he was at least smart enough to know the general direction of his base. It would be even better if he was smart enough to have an idea of the layout of the house/room. I'm pretty sure my kids' Audrino-based robots are a lot smarter and cheaper. Half-tempted to throw away his "brain" and replace it with an Audrino and extra sensors for very little money. Tired of looking for him to see where he's stuck this time. Update: I finally lost it mentally and smashed it after last tripping over it. I never get angry, but this thing really pissed me off. If I got it to work in my absence, I always had to find it. I ended up just running it at home but the last time it ran it was supposed to start at 4pm but at 7.30pm it was still lost and confused after finding its base who was in the kitchen. I tripped over it trying to get out of my room which resulted in my foot being injured. In a moment of anger because I had to pull it off several times in the past 3 hours and injured my foot, I finally smashed it and stomped on it to death. . In my opinion, save yourself your worries and get a brand that has indoor laser-guided mapping, or at least one that can use no-go tapes or invisible zones. It's not worth the heartache or frustration with this model. I would recommend Roborock S4 or similar. Much better guidance system. After a year my Roborock S4 only got stuck once and that was on a pair of boots with long laces getting caught in the brushes. Sorry Anker/Yufie, your entry-level model sucks. Love your other products though.
