That thing is a beast. Very compact but I was afraid it would be flimsy and flimsy. I was wrong. All parts are made from fairly thick stainless steel and the pivot points are very strong. It boiled water in under 6 minutes which is amazing. I bought a Revain recommended adapter so I can run on propane and it works great. However, I will say that the reason I think they don't advertise it as propane is because propane is much hotter. However, you hardly have to open the valve before it will vomit gas when using propane. So be careful when going this route. The starter works great and even comes with a magnesium alloy hammer in case the starter fails. I am amazed that they are packed in such a small package. If I had to argue, the only downside I could think of would be that the hose could be quickly detached from the torch so the hose would be easier to store away.
