Collars were purchased for our New York puppy. She was able to put the collar on at its narrowest point when she weighed 2.5 pounds. She now weighs 4 pounds and fits with no size adjustments. Good quality material. The attached bell will help us locate her when she's playing, but it can be easily removed. This is a detachable collar, so you cannot use it to walk your pet on a leash. The separation prevents the pet from getting caught on something and possibly being injured. If they get caught pulling a decent weight, the collar will break. It can be easily put together to put back on. Because of this, it would be a great option for cats.
