Test new joysticks before taking everything apart. Depending on what you're repairing, you may also need CPU heatsink paste (not included). Be sure to watch the tutorial video. A broken joystick added a lot of extra work and frustration when replacing a complicated joystick on the Nintendo Switch Lite. The stick that broke was the stick that required my entire Switch Lite to be disassembled which also requires the purchase of CPU heatsink paste which is not included in this kit. I had to do this repair twice due to a broken joystick. I removed the switch and installed a new joystick. I put it together and the new joystick didn't rise or fall. Took the case off and installed the second included joystick without disassembling anything - just connected the ribbon cable with the joystick removed to see if it worked. It worked. I retested the first one I plugged in and it still didn't go up or down; Just a broken joystick. So I took it all apart again, put in a stick that worked, and then put it back together. I had to use leftover CPU heatsink paste (luckily I had an extra one) to get the job done. While it's a good price since it comes with everything you need to replace a single joystick (except for CPU heatsink paste if you're replacing a single joystick that requires complete disassembly of the switch), I highly recommend getting one yourself to do favors. and TEST the joystick before taking everything apart and using CPU heatsink paste to make sure it works. This will save you a lot of hassles.
