Very strong and sturdy. I wasn't sure if it would work because it's so small. But the metal material is very thick and durable. I have an iPhone 7 and it can hold it with no problems. It comes with a round magnet and a rectangular magnet that can be attached to the back of the phone to attach it to the mount. See attached picture. I used a rectangular magnet for extra support and it works. Don't jump while driving. The holder's head is articulated so it can be tilted to any most comfortable position. It also comes with cleaning wipes. The only downside is that I use an Otter Box and have to remove it when using the mount as the magnet isn't strong enough to go through the case. So I also added an extra magnet to the outside of the case, but it looks weird.
