Yes, it's more expensive than a regular surge protector (ie no indicator), but I think it's worth it. It paid for itself the first time you used it. Plugged it into the first campsite we ever visited with our new camper and found the polarity of the plug was reversed. We alerted the camp manager and he immediately fixed everything for us to connect. It could have been a very bad trip if we hadn't known before plugging in the power cord! Definitely recommend!
