I have been using the BreakFree CLP since I bought my first firearm. Over the years I have used different lubricants and oils in other types of shooting. But for general lubrication, Nexus Green is a good alternative. I love the fact that it is colorless while other CLPs and oils often have a slightly yellowish tint. Nexus Green's viscosity is slightly lower than the thicker BreakFree or Slip 2000. This makes it easier to spray into hard-to-reach areas that need lubrication or protection. For cleaning, I would prefer the precision of a dropper bottle over a sprayer as I want to target CLP on the tip of a swab or on a spot with a small hole. An aerosol can is suitable for final lubrication in order to protect a larger area. Overall this is a good CLP to use with my other cleaners.
