I do not know why. but my kids love them.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone whose kids are asking for them. We recently went on a 5 week road trip and my two kids, 10 and 11, have been asking for new Crocs for the trip. They wore them almost all the time. on city streets, in the woods, on long rocky hikes, at the beach, by the pool, EVERYWHERE! you love her
